My dream crafting tool

Every time I see a craft made with the Silhouette machine I want to cry tears of joy! It is s versatile, you can cut fabric, paper, vinyl. And oh, just imagine the things you could make. I have been asking my husband for one, for a year or so....but he is not getting the hint! I have resorted to entering contest online ...just to win one of these beautiful machines!

The bragging mama is giving one away! The contest is open until March 10th! Hurry on over and check it out

What I made this week

I found this owl softie pattern from Make it love it and had to make it. There was a ton of scrap fleece in my scrap bin, so this was the perfect project!
The owl Tutorial can be found here

I also used some upcycled wool from one of my fathers old sweaters....by making a ruffled scarf! No pattern used, so I guess it is my own.

TJ's 9th birthday

TJ's 9th birthday is coming up in March. We have always had a theme for her.....so, when asked she chose "Cowgirl" as this years theme. I searched and searched for the perfect inspiration. I found it on The Tom Kat Studio's blog.

Next, came the invitations. We found the perfect printable at Fresh Chick Designs.
For the favors we took our inspiration from Bakarella. Her Cowgirl Cookie idea is so cute!

We will drink out of Mason jars, with the SWEETEST straws from The Sugar Diva.

I am going to attempt an actual candy bar....not sure how that will go. I seem to have all these great ideas, which just never make it to fruition.

Some of my favorite things

Let me start by saying, I love etsy! I could spend hours looking at beautiful handmade items. (shhh dont't tell my husband, sometimes I DO spend hours window shopping)

Oh how I love Etsy. As of today, here are some of my favorite things.

I cannot wait to purchase and sew these! I usually have a fear of softies (long story, which is not fit for the internet), but these are so gosh darn adorable! Betsy and Basil Pattern from Retromama

I am in awe of anything Mrs. Darcy makes, it is all so beautiful! My must have item (as of today, it may change tomorrow) is the "Lets go Fly a Kite" headband. Turquoise and red are THE colors this year! Mrs. Darcy

Last year I spent months drooling over a sweatshirt from Evy's Tree. In December, I finally decided to order my daughter and I one. I cannot tell you how happy that sweatshirt made me! She is coming out with some of the most beautiful spring things, and my wallet cannot handle it!

Did I tell you how much I love Etsy?
